The cruise can be broken down into roughly three components. The first five days the ship sailed around the Eastern Mediterranean. During that time we visited four of the Greek Islands (Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini and Crete) and spent one day docked at the port of Kusadasi, in Turkey.
After leaving Crete, we had a day at sea as the ship sailed around the Peloponnese, north into the Adriatic. The destinations on the west side of Greece were Katakolon, the port for Olympia, and the island of Corfu, a little further north.
The stop at Corfu was followed by another day at sea as we made our way around the toe of Italy toward our last three ports—Messina in Sicily, Naples and our final destination, Civitavecchia, the port of Rome.
We bracketed the cruise with two days in Athens and three in Rome.
