February has passed in a blur. The Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award was announced mid-January with a submission window of February 16 to March 2. Since the announcement, my focus has been on preparing my submission. It’s now been accepted and I’m tying up the last few details today, February 24th. Though I had the manuscript pretty much ready to go, finalizing the details took much longer than I’d planned for. However, I now have a blurb I feel confident about, a manuscript that’s ready to go and background information on the book that will be useful whatever its fate in the contest.
For the last few days of February I’m recharging my batteries by participating in a webinar on Facebook marketing strategies by social media guru Mari Smith and the 2014 Indie Recon online conference. March will be a month to develop new writing projects and to finalize the republication files for my historical romance, Pretender’s Games.

The header this month shows ruins opposite a subway station in Athens. Love the way the column pieces neatly lined up in the small courtyard.
